Future hiring finalizing immediately w/o user confirmation

I had a couple hires available and one of the hires in my next queue could be promoted. Just to make sure I covered all available options, I wanted to see what a future with one of these promoted hires would make available to me. So I move the time machine forward one click to where it was 9ish minutes in the future and selected to hire the specialist for that time. Then I clicked the time machine forward once more to simulate a promotion. Then I went further in the future and looked at some options I had using this promoted hire on subs and what not. Then I closed the time machine and went to reopen it to cancel my previewed moves. The hire move was not an option to cancel. The promotion and sub moves were and I cancelled them. After this I closed time machine to make sure I was on the current time and I see that it actually finalized the hiring even though I never opted to do so and the future time I set the hire for was never reached. Again, I set the hire for 9 minutes in the future and was done previewing moves and canceling then all withing three minutes max. I definitely did not come close to spending enough time previewing moves to where a tick would have passed by. So because everything was still in the future, there would have been no way for me to accidentally finalize, because the game doesn't let you do that. Unfortunately this could make or break first place for me in my current game.

the X minutes appear to be estimates and not truly 9 minutes - it's an estimation of the current 10 minute tick; unless time critical, I would always encourage at least 2 taps (~20 minutes into future) for simulating hires, as the game can jinx you like that.

Even if it was an estimate, I doubt it would be more than five minutes off. Beyond that, it would only trigger the countdown and I would still have 10 minutes to cancel. It shouldn't hire immediately like it did. I wouldn't consider a bug that needs to be fixed as a jinx, but I see what you are saying.

Yeah I remember the first time I hired 2 at once, at the first finalised when I hired the second.....
Things like this are just a part of the game now, whether the Devs intended to make it so or not, because there probably aren't gonna be any more changes to this game in the near future.
