General doesn't work

I attack an outpost with a liutennent so that it hit just before the guys infiltrator and 1 drill sub. I promote to general as soon as it arrives which is less than a tick before the infiltrator and driller hits.
For some reason the general doesn't kill the single driller.
It's probably bc it didn't promote yet but why didn't the liutennent kill it then?

I Lund the exact same thing recently. If you are promoting a lieutenant a the exact moment a sub arrives, then the lieutenant does noting and neither does the general, so technically both are absent. You're best off leaving the lieutenant to take 5, and promoting when no subs are arriving

I learned recently that if a sub with 1 drillers is landing against a base with 0 drillers and no shields but the base is about to produce drillers in the 10 minutes that battle happens your queen survives even though you really should of lost.

If you promote your King within the 10 minutes that drillers land you get the king and the shields.

If for some reason you want to teleport specialist to an enemy you can land your specialist where its landing yet combat is also in progress on it and it will teleport immediately to the enemy lands. Might also work for gifts.

If you want to get your double agent past someone with a speed spec but still have it remain in your control send it with a saboteur.

There's also the one I discovered: if you release captured specialists in the 10 minutes that his drillers are landing to take the outpost where they are captured, they'll change direction and head to one of your outposts to stay captured instead of back to his outpost to be released.

The 2 bases have to be closest between 2 enemies. The faster sub hits the saboteur twice.
