King still stacking??!

I lost around 480 subs with 40 shield to 163 subs with theif and just before the attack lands the attacker promoted 3 kings.

The update stopped the stacking of kings, or it is not working? This is so frustrating as i had him, now he just eliminated me due to this.

Please someone verify this?

Apparently games that started before the update still let kings stack. Does this game fit that description?
