I know this kind of app can put pressure on system, but this game hasn't huge 3D. So I'm wondering its use of battery is normal based of your experience of 2D similar app (I never play game on android), or if this is a real battery drain bug/app not optimised ?

Please share your impressions.

I'm almost always playing the game (well at least the serious scheduling and strategizing) while charging. However, I do experience my battery getting hot.

I'm assuming the game is constantly in contact with the servers to:
1) send the stuff you're planning to the servers and calculate the impact of your actions to the game
2) receive the stuff other players are doing and calculate what you should be shown / updated about.

I think there are some feature-wise priorities (notification control, being able to put people on a friends list), but this is defenitely where performace could be improved. Speed is fine, stability is fine, just some battery consumption optimisation.

Network i/o doesn't drain battery
Stuff that drains battery is constant cpu or gpu neither of which should be in this game.

I think there is definitely battery optimisation to do because it eats battery right now!

power saving mode is coming soon... it will run the game at 30fps instead of 60.

Honestly 30 vs. 60 fps is not the problem. I just started playing on an iPhone 6S and this game hogs more battery than Hearthstone, even when running in the background (where FPS doesn't matter). I think there are some bugs that are causing it to gobble more battery than necessary. Specifically, investigate what's going on when the app is in the background and/or the phone is in sleep mode.

what makes you think the app is consuming power while it is in the background? it shouldn't consume any power at all unless it's running.

Hmm, it may not be. I guess I was just skeptical that it could use up SO MUCH of my battery in just the time I had it open.

iPhone 6S here as well, and it's certainly my experience that it's using -a lot- of battery when the app is running.
Plotting a game and going in session looks like it uses 20-30% of the battery. Hopefully the 30fps version helps.
