The cancel / resign buttons (yeah, I lost) completely obscure everything underneath them, including the info boxes about subs and specialists.

is there a reason to do neither?

I asked that question very early this morning. ;)

I just went into a game and chose resign and a dialog box with cancel and resign options came up in the middle of the screen. What I saw this morning was just the two options, at the top of the screen, with no accompanying text. I think I was confused because I had not done anything (like tap resign from the gear menu) to make them appear, and was unsure why I would have to cancel something when I hadn't taken any action to make the choices appear.

oh, wait, that sounds like a bug. let me make sure i understand correctly:
1. you saw the cancel/resign buttons at the top of the screen
2. you tapped resign and resigned
3. you logged in the next day and saw those two cancel/resign buttons again

is that correct?

No, sorry. The two buttons appeared at the top of the screen and I just left the game. My comments regarding the dialog box were me testing what happened when I chose resign from the gear menu while I was in a different game.

My point was that having those two buttons appear with no explanation or action taken by the player was confusing.
