Resigned Player's Specialist not releasable from owned base

  • As the title says, I have an outpost (ownership is mine) with 0 drillers holding a resigned player's sentry and smuggler. Before he resigned, he sent a sub with 56 drillers at that outpost, then resigned mid-travel. Before he resigned, I could still schedule an order for the 2 captured specs to be released (so that his sentry wouldn't affect my recapture of that outpost). However, after his resignation, I could no longer schedule orders for the 2 specs to be released, even though the outpost still belongs to me. Now I will have to get more forces to recapture the outpost because of his now liberated sentry.

    Is this a known problem?

  • I don't think this is a bug. They player the specialists belonged to is no more. So there is no one to give them back to.

  • I think it would be cool if this existed. I had an outpost with a captured minister of energy from a defeated opponent. My opponent was coming to take the outpost before my hypnotist got there. Thus I was willing to release the specialist from that outpost back to his closest outpost with 80 drillers where nobody could get it. (Genius, I know.) Unfortunately... You can't release them back. I don't think this is a bug but I do think it would be a nice feature to have.

    Im currently attacking the factory of an auto resigned player, it has a princess and a sentry defending it. The large sentry radius is protecting the auto resigned players other outposts and is a big deterant for other players.

    I would like the option to be able to conquer the outpost, which will neutralise the sentry around the bases.
    And then release the princess and sentry, which will then sail away to the next nearest auto resigned outpost which is conveniently much closer to the still active players ;)

    If RNG would give me a hypnotist I'd be fine but alas I'm out of luck :)

    *Off Topic* (but while we are discussing new features)
    I would also like to see the option of turning off/on driller production per factory, so you can concentrate driller production where you need it most. Would be super helpful when hitting max drillers.

  • I also feel that you should still be able to release specialists to eliminated/resigned players. The player is gone, but their specialists are still alive correct?
